Act of Kindess

This week I have been really thinking about how I can do things for others. So this week for one of my classes, we started to go out to Discovery Elementary School for our practicum. There is a student in my class, who is a non-traditional student and lives close to campus. I have gotten to know her pretty well this semester since we have 2 classes together. So I decided I would offer to drive every Tuesday and Thursday, since she lives close to campus. So now we meet in the parking lot on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and I drive us over to Discovery Elementary. The girl offered to pay for gas money, but I told her I would not take any money from her. She insists by the end of the semester that she will pay me, but I will not take the money. When I told her that if she tried to pay me she would get the money back somehow, and I could just tell from her face that she really appreciated it and was very thankful! I can't wait to see what other opportunities I will have to serve others!
