Good Deed

I was out to eat at a local pizza joint this week with a few friends. We saw a family a couple tables down with three small kids. The parents seemed to be very stressed and were just trying to get through the meal and get their kids back home. When we finished our meal, the family was still there so we pooled our money together to pay for their ticket. We didn't get to see their reactions when they found out, but I'm sure they were very pleased and hopefully that relieved some stress of the evening for them. It made me think about how easy I've got things. Yes, I'm a college student, so I'm busy, stressed and broke, but there are a lot worse things out there. Taking a moment to consider other people's situations can go a long way.
